08 Aug Getaway Girls’ Paris Shopping Trip June 16 – June 21, 2020
Getaway Girls’ Trip
“Paris is ALWAYS a good idea.”
– Audrey Hepburn
Are you ready to discover the secrets of effortless French style in the capital of fashion?
Time to jet to Paris then, where the clothes, shoes, jewelry, AND accessories are superior!
Through our Getaway Girls’ Paris Shopping Trip, I am going to take you through Paris’s wide selection of boutiques by arrondissement.
Who Am I?
I’m your friend, Nancy K: personal shopper and wardrobe stylist based in Dallas, Texas.
My passion is ensuring that you feel confident and empowered by your wardrobe. As I work with you, we will create a plan to style your wardrobe with unique, timeless pieces that can only be found in the capital of fashion. If it doesn’t make you feel great, it doesn’t belong in your closet! I am a wardrobe stylist with YOUR best interest at heart. I am here for YOU.
My energy, curiosity, enthusiasm, taste level, and sense of humor will guarantee you the shopping trip of a lifetime!
After exploring the artisanal neighborhoods of Florence, Italy with six clients in 2018, Paris was the next logical destination.
Florence 2018 equipped me with experience and a sixth sense for sourcing and working directly with the most exquisite boutiques— unique, designer-driven, made in France products.
Our last trip was a major success – just read the raves below!
“A terrific value!”
“Everything was perfectly organized and executed beautifully.”
“I want to go on her next trip!”
“Nancy doesn’t let you buy things you will regret once you return home.”
“The shopping and food were fabulous!”
“It was like shopping summer camp for adults!”
Why Should We Go Shopping in Paris Together?
Paris, one of the largest cities in the world, is quite overwhelming. Especially when it comes to retail; it’s a never-ending labyrinth of stores! I WILL help you conquer this retail labyrinth!
With the Getaway Girls team, you will learn to embody the essence of the chic, effortless Parisian woman.
How Do I Do It?
How Will I Choose Stores That Have the Best Product for YOU?
My team and I have personally researched, sourced, and curated our stores. We have a fabulous selection that will resonate with you. Based on questionnaire responses, the stores may be re-sorted to reflect your tastes. This trip is about finding the best items for YOU, and we are prepared to adapt accordingly to bring that dream to life!
Who Will Be Helping You with Different Service Levels?
I will be at all the boutiques along with my assistant, Tessa, and French/American guide, Avery. We are each ready to help you with all of your purchases!
According to the size of the boutiques, we will likely break up into two smaller groups, allowing me to check in on both groups and help each of you personally. We will be in Paris the week prior to your arrival visiting our store selection with an eye towards identifying and earmarking items especially for you. Your “personal shoppers in Paris” will be on it! You will also be lucky enough to meet with five different Paris-based designers!
Between the clothes, shoes, accessories, and jewelry alone, you will be captivated; the amazing food and wine is just the cherry on top!
Now for the fun stuff…where are we going every day?
Take a glimpse at our itinerary!
TUESDAY, JUNE 16
Touchdown in Paris! Our afternoon begins at the iconic Yves-Saint Laurent Museum. After viewing his life’s work, you will be able to see where today’s designers get their inspiration. Then, we will end our first day with a lovely welcome dinner at a classic Parisian brasserie in the seventh arrondissement, right by the Eiffel Tower!
Be prepared to find only the exceptional in Paris.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17
We hit the ground running downtown in the “cool girl” Marais district. I found many one of a kind, only in France shops and collections here. You will meet a shoe designer and a handbag designer. I have also found an outstanding ready-to-wear boutique and delicious sweater assortments. Who knew France was the capital of cashmere sweaters? Purchase now for fall! The selection is OUTSTANDING.
Lunch is included at a typical French bistro.
We end the day working one-on-one with a husband and wife team who have three stores in France with clothes of their own design. The shop is tiny so we will stagger the group. While you wait for your turn to shop you can indulge in an aperitif style dinner: nosh on delicious charcuterie while sipping vins français!
THURSDAY, JUNE 18
Time to explore the heart of Paris in the seventh arrondissement, just a few feet away from the Eiffel Tower and legendary Champ de Mars. This is our “meat and potatoes” day. I have sourced several shops that are only in Paris and carry the type of clothes and shoes I wish I could get for you stateside. Those easy, interesting, great-fitting, and anything but boring every day, run-around pieces! Then, we will lunch in a designer’s private home in Montmartre where you’ll sip rosé in her French garden while viewing her jewelry. There is also a brilliant ready-to-wear collection of an up and coming designer I am championing that you will discover here too!
Dinner will be on your own.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19
Today, we will dive headfirst into the chic Saint-Germain des Prés area. We hit one fabulous store after another, with all the leather goods, clothing, textiles, linens, and shoes imaginable! We will break into two groups while exploring the boutiques and then lunch at a delicious Italian restaurant. Lunch is followed by more shopping, bien sûr! – a special jewelry store and a “tour” of the best Hermès store in the city are also included on this day!
Dinner will be on your own.
SATURDAY, JUNE 20
Our last full day will consist of your “shopping elective” of choice! We will start at 12:30 p.m. this day to give you time to pack and get ready for departure. On the “shopping elective” questionnaire, you will choose your first, second, and third choices of the options below. Based on majority responses, three electives will be chosen and your Paris Guide will take you to your destination!
Lunch will be on your own.
Here are the elective options for Saturday:
A macaron baking class and shopping at the legendary Galeries Lafayette. Shopping just got a whole lot sweeter!
A chance to revisit stores we have already seen for a second look. Did you miss something? Time to make that purchase you’ve been thinking about all week!
More Marais! There are loads of boutiques we didn’t visit. Perhaps it’s not exactly your signature style, but there are pieces that can be curated and added to your collection. It’s always fun to see things outside your comfort zone for inspiration!
A visit to le Bon Marché, the unforgettable department store in the Saint-Germain des Prés area we visited on Friday. This store is known to dazzle every customer, and only the finest Parisian women shop here…
Does rue Faubourg-Saint Honoré ring a bell? Time to visit the flagships of France’s most reputable fashion houses, including Maison Goyard, an exclusive leather and trunk goods maker. This iconic brand is quintessentially Parisian, and their totes are perfect for any Getaway Girl! The area also includes a special jewelry store, equivalent to Ylang23 in Dallas.
Looking for some lingerie? Look no further. You will shop the most elegant, French lingerie boutiques the city of love has to offer. Seduction à la française!
More Saint-Germain des Prés! Time to explore even more boutiques we didn’t get to visit in the sixth arrondissement. We have a unique selection of stores with vintage jewelry, fabulous clothing, and special accessories, like the perfect hat to complete your Parisian look!
Been dreaming of visiting the legendary flea markets of Paris? Today is the day for a treasure hunt. Together we will conquer the world’s largest flea market of its kind, brimming with vintage and antique goodies!
Have those ubiquitous French stores caught your eye? Maybe it’s time to discover the go-to boutiques that are the foundation of every French girl’s wardrobe. Nothing better than some chic basics that can only be found in Paris!
After a leisurely day, you will stop for a café or rosé , then meet for a bateaux mouches boat ride down by the Seine at 6:00 p.m. Our finale dinner is quite special. It is a “feed me” meal. Come hungry and thirsty and ready to celebrate YOU and your fabulous Parisienne wardrobe!

Hotel and airfare not included
I have two hotels to choose from. Once you decide where you want to stay, please let me know and I can help you make the arrangements. If you are traveling solo and want to share a suite, I would love to pair you with another fabulous traveler!
First Option — Hotel du Champ du Mars, located in the rue Cler area. I stayed there last summer and loved it. It is a charming, beautifully appointed, typical boutique French hotel filled with a certain “je ne sais quoi.” It is adjacent to the metro and situated in a lively area with lots of exciting restaurants and bars. The rooms are not small, but they are also not extra-large. The Superior Double Room is between 14-16 meters. The rate is subject to change, but this year it was 220 euros per night. If you want to put more funds towards shopping, there is also a smaller room (11 meters) available for 205 euros. https://www.hotelduchampdemars.com/
Second Option — If you prefer to stay in a modern, more American hotel with larger rooms and suites, I have chosen Le Cinq Codet. Le Cinq Codet is a 5-star hotel located in the very chic 7th arrondissement, between the Eiffel Tower and Invalides Museum.
The Classic Room which is 16-18 meters, with prices around 342 euros per night. It is chic, cozy, and thoughtful in a typically Parisian way. The prices go up from there. https://lecinqcodet.com/
